BAHAWALNAGAR, Feb 29: Mian Maqsood Ahmad Baitu, District & Sessions Judge, passed away on Thursday night after protracted illness.

He was laid to rest at Gharkana, his native village, near here on Friday. Baitu was suffering from cancer and breathed his last during treatment at Lahore. He is survived by a widow.

A large number of judicial officers and members of district bars from Bahawalnagar, Bahawalpur and Rahim Yar Khan attended his funeral.--APP
