LAHORE, Feb 29: The Punjab Irrigation and Drainage Authority (PIDA) has decided to take stern action against abiana defaulters. Cases of the Khal Panchayats chairmen will be moved to the Anti-Corruption Establishment for the recovery of government share.
PIDA general manager (operation) Muhammad Ashraf Khan Niazi said this at a meeting held here on Friday. Field officers of PIDA and representatives of Farmers Organisations (FOs) of Lower Chenab Canal (East) circle, Faisalabad, were also present. — APP
