LAHORE, Feb 29: Policemen manning the residence of detained Aitzaz Ahsan did not let Sheikhupura Bar Association lawyers meet Mr Ahsan, Supreme Court Bar Association President, on Friday.

"They walked from Sheikhupura to see Mr Ahsan but were restrained by the jail officials," said SCBA media adviser Muhammad Azhar Siddique.

Lawyers accompanied by other SCBA office-bearers raised slogans against Gen Pervez Musharraf and demanded Ahsan's immediate release.

Bushra Aitzaz met with the lawyers and thanked them for their support and efforts to meet Mr Ahsan.
