Tiwana shines in Low-Goal Polo Cup

LAHORE, Feb 28: Six-goal Ahmad Nawaz Tiwana helped Waste Busters carve out a 7-4 win against Hattaf Security in the Low-Goal Polo Cup here on Thursday.

Ahmad excelled in all four chukkers, scoring two goals each in the second and fourth and one each in the first and second while Ali Hashim Rizvi chipped in one more to make the tally. Umar Sadik (3) and Omar Asjad Malhi (1) were the scorers for the losing side.

Five-goal Ashfaq Ahmad helped Seven Stars Motel beat Equestrian Riding School 7- 4 1/2. Faisal Khan and Afzal added one goal each. Samee Ibrahim (3) and Kamran Zaidi (1) reduced the margin for the losing side, who had a half-goal handicap.

Auqa Velva earned a 6- 3 1/2 win against Charbagh’s Own. Zain Khan Khakwani (3), Mian Shahzad Aziz (2) and Feroze Gulzar (1) were the scorers for the winners. Kasim Ahmad Khan (2) and Nasir Ahmad Khan (1) were the scorers for the losing side, who also had a half-goal handicap.
