MULTAN, Feb 28: Police raided a local seminary on Wednesday night and picked up over four dozen people, mostly students, for questioning in the Pindi blast which claimed the life the army's surgeon-general.
Police sources said the raid on Darul Quran Hussania, Tareen Road, was conducted following reports that some militants were hiding there.
On Thursday police released all but five.
A police officer said finger prints of the five, who had been involved in Afghan war in the past, had been obtained. He said no link of the suspects had so far been established in the fresh blast and expected their release on Friday. — Staff Correspondent
