KARACHI, Feb 28: Eight ships carrying imported wheat and to load cement and clinkers are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Friday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was active where seven ships, Noor-i-Madina, Hyun Jin to load cement, Hyundai Highway, Filippa, Faith-1 with containers, Capetan Costis and Chemroad Luna, tankers were berthed after the departure of five.

The ships which departed included Cap Colorado, APL Sokhna, Royal Queen, Lucky Arrow and Delta Ranger, while Noor-i-Madina, Breeze, Hyundai Highway, Morning Glory-3, Filippa, Capetan Costis, Faith-1, Malakand, Hyun Jin and Nts Emperor are due to sail out on Friday.

A total tonnage of 85,236 tons comprising 55,773 tons of export cargo including 2,611 tons of cement and 16,600 tons of clinkers and 29,463 tons of import tonnage was handled on Thursday.

The following ships are due on Friday: Rubia with 25,350 tons of imported wheat, Golden Arrow-2 to load 31,500 tons of clinkers, Valbeila and Al-Aqueela-2 to load 16,500 tons of cement, Kota Perdana, Harmony, St. Irene with containers and Carta with project cargo.
