ISLAMABAD, Feb 28: A two-member official delegation of the Embassy of Kazakhstan visited Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry here on Thursday and discussed matters of bilateral trade between the two countries.
The delegation members included Yernur Tuyakbayev, First Secretary and Yerlan T. Danabekov, Visa Counsellor, Embassy of Kazakhstan.
Talking to the delegation members, ICCI President Muhammad Ijaz Abbasi said that trade between the two countries was extremely low which needed to be enhanced.
He emphasised for closer trade and economic cooperation to tap the existing trade and investment opportunities on both sides adding that Kazakhstan could cooperate with Pakistan in the fields of oil and gas as it has the biggest reserves in Central Asia.
The ICCI president said in Pakistan there was tremendous scope of investment in the sector of oil and gas, infrastructure development, education and health sector and invited Kazakh businessmen to invest in Pakistan.
He said that an ICCI delegation would visit Kazakhstan in June to explore the market for trade and joint ventures. — APP
