RAWALPINDI, Feb 27: A court bailiff recovered 10 people from the illegal custody of a brick-kiln owner at Dhoke Hameedan.
District and Sessions Judge Mian Khadim Hussain appointed Malik Lal Khan as bailiff after Arsalan Khan filed a petition for the recovery of his 10 family members from the unlawful custody of Haji Rab Nawaz, the owner of a kiln, and his clerk Khan Ulfat.
The bailiff along with the Dhoke Hameedan police raided the brick-kiln near Benazir Chowk on Fatehjang Road and recovered the 10 persons.
They were identified as Husan Pari, 40, wife of the petitioner, his sons Bahadur Khan, 25, Abdul Rauf, 23, Shafiqullah, 20, Naimatullah, 12, Naqeebullah, 8, Afzal Kahn, 3, and daughters Najeeba, 16, Zarmina, 14 and six-year-old Sultana.
They were handed over to the petitioner with a directive to appear before the court on March 3 for further proceedings. The petitioner told the court that he along with his family had been working in the kiln for the last one-and-a-half years. —A Reporter
