MIRPURKHAS, Feb 26: The health condition of a victim of the Cheel Band clash is deteriorating and his family is starving but accused in this case are roaming freely without any fear of justice.

Reports said that three months ago, some Pakistan Muslim League and Pakistan People’s Party workers clashed at Cheel Band in taluka Kunri near Umerkot.

PPP worker Mehboob Ali Zindpur, 28, received bullet injuries in his leg in the clash.

The family of the victim had sold all valuables, properties and spent Rs500,000 on his treatment but his health did not improve. Now they have nothing to spend on his treatment. They are starving because Mehboob was the sole breadwinner of the family.

Allah Warayo and other family members told reporters that Kunri police had failed to arrest the accused who had support of taluka nazim of Kunri and were roaming freely in the area.

They said they had lodged a case under section 324, 504 and 34, PPC, against 10 people, including Akbar, Abdul Sattar and Abdul Majeed Shahani, but the police had not arrested them.
