Explosions leave three security men dead

QUETTA, Feb 25: At least three security personnel have been and one civilian killed and seven people injured in two explosions in Dera Bugti district.

“Three security personnel were killed and five others injured when a remote control bomb hit their vehicle in Sangsila area of Dera Bugti,” officials told Dawn.

In the other incident, one civilian was killed and two others suffered injuries when their motorcycle hit a landmine near Sui. The injured were taken the Sui hospital.

In another development, militants blew up a portion of the 16-inch gas pipeline in Loti area of the district. Gas supply to Pir Koh plant from six wells was suspended.

AFP adds: The bombing was claimed by a militant group identifying itself as the Baloch Republican Army.
