SYDNEY, Feb 25: Wicket-keeping great Ian Healy and pioneer Test player George Giffen will be inducted into the Australian Cricket Hall of Fame, Cricket Australia said on Monday.
The stars will be formally inducted at the Allan Border Medal presentation in Melbourne on Tuesday.
Healy, who gave way to Adam Gilchrist in the Australian team, played 119 Tests and by the time of his retirement in 1999 held the world record for the most Test wicket-keeping dismissals with 395.
Healy, now a television cricket commentator, scored 4,356 Test runs at an average of 27.39.—AFP
