Road accident claims 5 lives

LAKKI MARWAT, Feb 25: Five people were killed and 10 others suffered injuries when a passenger coach going to Serai Naurang collided with an oil tanker near Naimatabad on the Indus Highway on Monday.

An official said he feared the death toll might rise because the condition of some of the injured was critical.

The victims have been identified as Tabish, his brother Asif and sister Naila, of Chowkara Karak, Qismatullah of Harama Tala Lakki and Abdul Rahim of Shadikhel Bhetanni.

The injured, Umar Khan, Pasham Khan, Qader, Mohammad Raza, Sehrgul, Abdul Rab, Gul Rehman, minor girl Samina Naz and a woman, were taken to the civil hospital in Naurang.

Witnesses said the coach was completely damaged.
