MARDAN, Feb 25: District Bar Association president Alamzeb Khan has announced that lawyers would observe ‘Youm-i-Nijat’ on the defeat of Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid in the recent general elections.

Addressing a reception arranged by the bar for local journalists here on Monday, he said that the treatment meted out by President Pervez Musharraf to the judiciary and the media caused the defeat of PML-Q in the polls.

He said that both media and lawyers of the country struggled hard for the freedom of judiciary and expressions. All the deposed judges would be in their offices very soon, he said.
