KGS claim soccer title

KARACHI, Feb 24: Karachi Grammar School (KGS) lifted the Karachi United school championship title after a 2-0 victory over St Patrick’s High School at the DHA Football Stadium on Saturday.

Daniyal Alvi found the target in the 14th minute, while Usman Saad doubled the lead with a 50th-minute free kick.

City School PAF Chapter defeated Foundation Public School 3-2 on penalty shootout in third place playoff.

Usama Chippa, Bakhrani, Yousuf were the scorers from the winnings side, while Hamza Javed and Areeb Bhaila scored the penalty kicks for the losers.

Muhammad of St Patrick’s High School was adjudged the most valuable player, his team-mate Imran was the top scorer, while Uthman Alam of City School PAF Chapter was declared people’s choice player of the tournament.
