KARACHI, Feb 23: Four-year-old chestnut filly Moon Baby is tipped to atone for the loss she suffered in the last outing should she sprint to victory in the Gymkhana race meeting at the Karachi Racecourse on Sunday.

In a display of rough riding, Moon Baby was beaten by bay Legend Killer by the barest margin in the last meeting on Wednesday which saw riders of two mounts being penalised.

On her present form Moon Baby is likely to oblige punters in the third race by overcoming opposition in the five furlongs sprint.

She should be chased by colt Mr Mention Not and bay Legend Killer for the places.

With Zaki Zakir in the saddle, six-year-old bay Arab Hi Arab should land the feature event, the five furlongs seventh and last race of the day.

He has been placed in the three previous runs and may reign supreme to claim the year’s first race. His likely challengers are Dragon Heart and Lion Of Arab. However, if allowed to run on merit, filly Sugar Sweet may bring an element of surprise.

Four-year-old bay filly Taizper is our fancy to pick up the spoils in the sixth race which is the supporting event should she be backed by the owner, Shah Mardan Shah Pir Pagara.

Though her stable mate chestnut Terrorist is also in the run, Taizper enjoys an edge on form.

Mare Lady Conqueror and colt The Ghazan Prince should follow the winner on board.

Three-year-old chestnut colt Tube Jee looks certain to present owner Pir Pagara with a winner in the fourth race. He has yet to open his account of the year.

Filly Guess Its Me and mare Forget Me Not are also in the run for the top slot.

Either of the two stable mates, colt John Player or filly Baby John should grab the next race. Both come in the reckoning and who-so-ever are backed by connection, should oblige punters.

Desperado, if tried, should claim the honours in the opener while mare Sweet Grandy is predicted to return with flying colours in the second.

A card of seven races has been chalked out for the day’s proceeding. The first race begins at 1.00pm.
