Sialkot gets hockey stadium

SIALKOT, Feb 23: After almost a four-year delay, the Rs45 million project of the Sialkot Hockey Stadium finally got completed here this week following the laying of an Astroturf at the ground.

The Sialkot DCO, Capt (Rtd) Atta Muhammad Khan told newsmen that Sialkot Hockey Stadium is absolutely ready for staging international level matches.

The stadium will now stage the first-ever All Pakistan National Hockey Tournament from Sunday under the supervision of Sialkot-based Olympian Asif Bajwa.
