Construction of road ready to be undertaken

FAISALABAD, Feb 22: The district government will spend Rs25 million for the reconstruction of Regal Road and the project will start soon as file work of the project has already been completed, says the district nazim.

Presiding over a meeting held here on Friday to review construction of different roads, Nazim Rana Zahid Touseef said scores of road projects were under way to improve the infrastructure of the district.

Officials of the district roads departments and National Logistics Corporation (NLC) attended the meeting.

Touseef said construction work of Abdullah Pur Road and the road adjacent to Jhal Khanua Bridge were also being completed while carpeting of Jail Road would start soon.

He directed the NLC officials to expedite their work on Jhang and Montgomery Bazaar and complete these projects by the end of this month. He also directed the district officer roads to complete patchwork on Faisalabad-Sattiana and Faisalabad-Sheikhupura roads immediately.

The nazim informed the participants that traffic signals and streetlights were being installed on different roads to facilitate motorists. NLC officials highlighted various aspects of Liaqaut Road construction project.
