KARACHI: Recount plea
KARACHI, Feb 19: The Muttahida Quami Movement candidate from PS-92, Abdul Haseeb, on Tuesday filed a petition with the provincial Election Commission for a vote recount.
The MQM candidate obtained 30,981 votes and his opponent, Shabbir Qureshi of the Pakistan People’s Party, got 31,394 votes.
The PPP candidate has been declared winner in the provincial assembly constituency.—APP
