Bomb hoax at call centre

LAHORE, Feb 18: A bomb hoax created panic among employees of a foreign call centre situated in Waheed Trade Centre on Khiban-i-Jinnah on Monday.

The Defence circle SPO told Dawn an unidentified caller informed Ms Fareena, an executive of Mobilink

Call Centre, on her cell phone that there was a bomb planted at first floor of the building.

Following the call, the building was immediately evacuated, he added.

The Factory Area police and bomb disposal squad, after being informed of the call, rushed to the spot and searched the building.

However, no explosive device was found. The investigators said the hoax call was made from a PTCL number.
