Sindh, Punjab not swayed by APDM appeal

By Ahmed Hassan

ISLAMABAD, Feb 18: The All Parties Democratic Movement (APDM) appeared to have failed in Punjab and Sindh to make people boycott the general election.

However, the alliance’s appeal might have affected the turnout in parts of Balochistan and NWFP. Election results and the overall turnout, which was on the lower side, indicated that the APDM had lost first round.

The movement had forecasted massive rigging in the polls.
