KARACHI, Feb 15: Berthing activity was dull as only container vessel was accommodated berth during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Friday.

Meanwhile, two ships carrying containers and furnace oil also arrived at the outer anchorage. Berth occupancy further dipped to 40 per cent at the wharves where only four ships, Al Ihsaa, As Salam, Nepheli and Lake Globe, were occupying berths to load/offload containers, rice, wheat and canola seeds.

A cargo volume of 20,288 tons comprising 11,864 tons of import and 8,424 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Sailings were active as Maersk Iowa, ACX Dahlia, Al Ihsaa and Nepheli left the port.
