KARACHI, Feb 15: Eight vessels carrying chemicals and containers are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Saturday, according to KPT sources.

The berthing activity at the wharves was modest where five ships, Frontier Ace to unload cars, Sana to load rice, Amalienborg, Gemini and Stolt Acacia, tankers, were berthed after the departure of six.

The ships which departed included Sky Venus, Augusta, Orient Stride, Kuleli, Formosa Product Cosmos, and Valiant, while Jewel-1, Amaliengborg, Jin Hui, Stolt Acacia, Hyun Jin and Cleveland are due to sail out on Saturday.

A total tonnage of 0.102m tons comprising 30,816 tons of export tonnage including3,837 tons of rice and 4,283 tons of cement and 70,808 tons of import tonnage was handled on Friday.

The following ships are due on Saturday: Bengal Orchid with chemicals, Mare Thrccium, Creek, Oel Spirit, Luo Ba He and Itha Bhum with containers and Carla to load project cargo.
