By Our Reporter

KARACHI, Feb 14: The Pakistan People’s Party and the Awami National Party announced on Thursday seat adjustments in Karachi and elsewhere in the province for the Feb 18 elections.

The announcement was made by provincial secretary general of the PPP Nafees Siddiqui and ANP’s provincial chief Shahi Syed at a joint news conference. Amin Khattak of the ANP and Waqar Mehdi and Rashid Rabbani of the PPP were present on the occasion.

According to the understanding, the PPP agreed to pull out its candidates from PS-128 (Mufti Firozuddin Hazarvi) and PS-93 (Muneer Khattak).

In return, Shahi Syed declared that the ANP would support the PPP on all seats except NA-239 and PS-90 and 91 where it had agreed to support JUI (F) candidates.
