MITHI: PML-Q to sweep polls in Sindh, says Arbab
By Our Correspondent
MITHI, Feb 14: Former Chief Minister Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim has claimed that Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid will win not only in Thar but will clinch all the seats of Sindh assembly.
Arbab said at a public meeting in Nagarparkar on Wednesday that if Arbabs were defeated in elections from Thar, he would renounce politics forever.
He alleged that the Pakistan People’s Party was accustomed to do politics over corpses and Asif Ali Zardari had now got an edge after the assassination of Benazir Bhutto. He (Zardari) had received 120 billion dollars of her insurance policy, he claimed.
Arbab, who is president of Sindh chapter of PML-Q, said that PPP circles used to blame that Arbabs did not like to construct roads in Thar for fear they would enable outsider politicians to make inroads in the politics of the area. But “we have now built roads in the remote region and I challenge them to do politics there”, he said.
Our Larkana correspondent adds: Arbab reiterated his claim that PML would sweep elections in Sindh at public meeting in Aarija, 20 kilometers from here on Thursday.
He said the fight was between PPP and PML in Sindh and “we are prepared to inflict historic defeat on PPP”. The footprints of Ms Benazir Bhutto’s killers indicated towards to Asif Zardari, he alleged.
He denied allegations PML was involved in Ms Bhutto’s murder saying “we are equally shocked by her death”. PPP had accepted the findings of Scotland Yard team and would gradually accept everything, he said.
