LARKANA, Feb 13: The speakers at a reference held in the memory of late Benazir Bhutto, the chancellor and president of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Institute of Science and Technology (SZABIST) here on Wednesday said that she was quite satisfied with the establishment of this institution of standard to spreading education.

A.R Soomro said that late Z.A.Bhutto had advised his family from his death cell to leave the country as Ziaul Haq could harm them. He said despite dangers, Ms Benazir Bhutto preferred to stay here and finally accomplishing the mission of her father, she laid down her life. He said history would remember her for her constitutional petition in the Supreme Court in 1988 challenging the party-less polls in the country. He termed it her contribution towards democracy. He said during her rule, she appointed non-career diplomats from Sindh and other provinces maintaining the 1/3 ratio and took steps for women empowerment. She stood like a rock and fulfilled her commitment with her father.

Khursheed Junejo said he remained very close to her and her love for Sindh and Pakistan was unmatched and she was much impressed by her father. Being her constituency in-charge since 1990, he found her a leader with far-reaching vision, who despite sitting abroad kept the party intact.
