MANSEHRA, Feb 9: A proclaimed offender (PO) and a man were killed and two persons sustained injuries when dacoits attacked a vehicle in the jurisdiction of Lasain Nawab police station in Tanawal area here on Friday night.

According to the police, some bandits intercepted a passenger jeep in the Tanawal area and opened fire on it after the driver tried to speed away the vehicle. As a result, three passengers were injured who were shifted to the hospital, where one of them, Badri Zaman, was pronounced dead.

The police said, the passengers retaliated and shot dead Muhammad Dildar, a PO adding, Dildar was wanted in various cases of murder, attempt to murder and robbery.
