Helicopter crash victim laid to rest

NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, Feb 8: The body of Lance Naik of the Pakistan Army, who died in a helicopter crash in South Waziristan, was brought to Nawabshah airport, which was later shifted to his Qurban Chandio village for burial on Friday.

Ameer Ali son of Ustad Chhuttal Chandio, Lance Naik in the Pakistan Army, died in a helicopter crash along with other army officials in Waziristan. His body was brought in a C-130 plane at the Nawabshah airport from Rawalpindi.

Later, it was shifted from Nawabshah to police line in a helicopter and was taken to the village in an ambulance. He was laid to rest in Dargah Ali Gohar Shah graveyard near Mithiani.Wreaths were also laid on the deceased’s grave on behalf of the Chief of Army the Staff, Air Chief, Corps Commander, 5-Corps Karachi, Director-General Military Intelligence and GOC Pano Aqil. As a mark of respect, army jawans presented a guard of honour to the deceased soldier.

The deceased left a son and a daughter, widow, father and mother to mourn his death.
