MIRPURKHAS, Feb 7: Pakistan Muslim League (PML-Q) candidate for NA-227 Syed Qurban Ali Shah announced that he would support Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) candidate for NA-226 Mirpurkhas-I, Prof Khursheed Ahmed Siddique and for PS-64 Mirpurkhas-1, Faheem Ahmed Altafi.
He said this during the meeting held at his residence on Thursday. The meeting was attended by Saleem Razzaq, Zonal In-charge MQM Mirpurkhas, ex Provincial Minister Shabbir Ahmed Kaimkhani and others.
Syed Qurban Ali Shah appealed to masses, workers and voters of the PML to caste their vote in favour of MQM candidates Khursheed Ahmed Siddique and Faheem Ahmed Altafi.
Former minister Shabbir Ahmed Kaimkhani and MQM zonal incharge Mirpurkhas Saleem Razzaq have announced to support the PML-Q Syed Qurban Ali Shah and asked voters and supporters of MQM to caste their votes in his favour.
ARREST: The Town Police have arrested two people for attacking women gathered outside the Utility Store in Lalchandabad, on Thursday.
According to reports some men and women were standing in two separate queues outside the Utility Store when a dispute started between them. A group of men beat women as result of which two women sustained minor injuries, while attackers fled from the scene.
Later, dozens of people including women staged demonstration.
Hospitalised: MQM candidate for NA-226 Mirpurkhas-I, Prof Khursheed Ahmed Siddique was hospitalised on Thursday because of chest pain.
