Three die in bomb blast

QUETTA, Feb 7: Three people, two of them alleged saboteurs died and 11 others were injured in a bomb explosion in the Dera Murad Jamali area of Nasirabad district, some 250km east of here.

“Two persons died on the spot and another in hospital,” the District Police Officer Mujahid Akbar told reporters after the incident.

According to police sources, the two men were trying to plant a powerful bomb in a shop at the bus-stand when it went off killing them and another person.

The explosion rocked the entire town. Many shops and nearby buildings were badly damaged. Some vehicles parked near the place were also damaged.

Soon after the explosion, police and personnel of other law-enforcement agencies reached the place and removed the bodies and took the injured to the civil hospitals in Dera Murad Jamali and Jacobabad.

Investigators identified the two men as Ghulam Nabi Perozani Bugti and Lal Ghanwar Perozani Bugti.

Police said that Lal Ghanwar Perozani, who lost his legs and a hand confessed that he had been planting a bomb. “The alleged saboteurs are close relatives,” police added.

Sources said that the third victim of the explosion is identified as Munshi Oad, a

passerby.
