HYDERABAD, Feb 5: A large number of Pakistan People’s Party activists staged a protest demonstration and sit-in on Hyderabad-Mirpurkhas road in Tando Allahyar on Tuesday, blocking the road for about one hour.

They were protesting against registration of riot cases against PPP activists in the wake of the assassination of party leader Benazir Bhutto and police raids on the houses of party activists.

They alleged that the police was acting at the behest of the district nazim and implicating party workers in fabricated cases.
