Hassan steals the show with 44 points


KARACHI, Feb 4: Hassan Anwar scored 44 points as College of Business Management defeated K.N. Academy in the sixth Aga Khan University (AKU) Inter School/Collegiate boys’ basketball championship at the AKU Gymnasium on Sunday.

College of Business Management were leading the first half 31-13 and retained the lead in the next half to take the score to 61-40.

In other matches, The City School PAF chapter beat Shah Wilayat Public School with scores of 89-25.

Maaz Sultan and Ateeb Khan scored 23 and 19 points respectively for the winners.

St Patrick’s High School overcame Lecol’e School For Advanced Studies 50-38. Taha Ahmed shone with 21 points.

In the fourth match of the day, Karachi Grammar School outclassed Aga Khan Higher Secondary School with 72-19 points.Ayan Saeed (30) and Shaharyar Malik (14) played outstandingly for the Grammarians.

Southshore School defeated Fatimyah College 59-31. Shameel Haider and Ameen Hussain stole the limelight with 20 and 17 points. Yousuf Raza with 21 points tried to show some resistance but in vain.

Bayview High School narrowly beat The City School (Gulshan A levels) 65-40. Zain Tariq scored 41 points to lead his side to victory.—Agencies
