Rains lash Sindh

HYDERABAD, Feb 2: Light to moderate rains lashed parts of lower and upper Sindh on Saturday that may affect dates and mango production for the coming season.

On the other hand it has increased the cold as well, forcing people to stay indoors.

In Hyderabad, rain began in the morning and continued for a considerable time. The cold wave gripped the city.

Khairpur district received rain on Friday. The rains would also benefit wheat and banana crops. Shikarpur also received torrential showers. Sanghar district received light rain. Farmers were happy as the rain would benefit wheat, sugarcane and other crops. Mirpurkhas and Badin received heavy rains which disturbed normal life. Nawabshah, Dadu and Jamshoro received light rain.
