PESHAWAR: Gas supply to CNG stations resumes today

Bureau Report

PESHAWAR, Feb 2: The Sui Northern Gas Pipeline (SNGPL) on Saturday announced that supply of gas would be restored to 77 industrial units and 30 CNG stations in the provincial metropolis from Sunday.

SNGPL managing director during his visit to the city said the company would restore the supply of gas to the remaining industrial units in Hayatabad Industrial Estate and Gadoon Amazai as soon as the weather conditions improved.

Ali Ahmed, a member of the All Pakistan CNG Stations Association, when contacted said that the decision about supply of gas to the CNG stations was a welcome step on part of the officials concerned.

He said the disconnection had caused unrest not only among the owners of the stations but also among the motorists, adding that people faced great difficulties due to non-availability of the gas.
