KARACHI, Feb 2: Four ships carrying general cargo and containers are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Sunday, according to KPT sources.
Berthing activity at the wharves was slow where only three ships, Y.M. Inauguration, Augusta to unload and load containers and Spica to load general cargo were accommodated berths after the departure of four.
The departed ships included St. Irene, Eric G. Gibson, Bulk Arrow and London Bridge, while Oak Galaxy, Augustqa, Hyun Jin, Hansa Liberty, Bador, Spica and Orient Stride are due to sail out on Sunday.
Cargo handling activity at the wharves was fairly active where a total tonnage of 0.111m tons comprising 58,010 tons of export cargo including 3,687 tons of rice, 17,500 tons of clinker and 7,240 tons of cement and 53,211 tons of import tonnage was handled on Saturday.
The following ships are due on Sunday: Jindal Kamla, Conti Germany, Oel Strength and Mol Ability with containers.
The following vessels are due on Monday: Oel Spirit, Cap Colorado with containers, Jewel-1 with 48,000 tons of canola and Guan He Kou with general cargo.
