HYDERABAD, Jan 31: Hyderabad skipper Azeem Ghumman broke a 10-year-old national record in under-19 cricket when he smashed an unbeaten 326 against Badin in a Hyderabad region game at the Niaz Stadium on Thursday.

Azeem’s 250-ball knock, which included 30 fours and one six, guided the hosts to a mammoth 482-9 in 83 overs when stumps were drawn on the first day of the two-day match.

He broke the previous record of 272, set by a Karachi player.
