Protest against loadshedding

FAISALABAD, Jan 31: Local industrialists staged a demonstration here on Thursday against gas and power loadshedding.

Industrialists from various groups also staged a sit-in outside Pakistan Textile Exporters Association offices and demanded immediate solution to the loadshedding problem. They said the government should hold talks with industrialists to resolve the loadshedding issue.

PTEA chairman Tahir Ishaq told Dawn that foreign buyers had cancelled most orders they had contracted with Faisalabad’s textile exporters. — Staff Correspondent
