Badin PML launches campaign

BADIN, Jan 31: The Pakistan Muslim League’s Badin chapter launched election campaign from Vanai Sharif for Syed Ali Bux Shah, candidate for PS-57 seat, on Wednesday.

Speaking at a public meeting, Syed Ali Bux Shah expressed sorrow over the assassination of Benazir Bhutto and said her death has created a vacuum in the country’s politics.

PML candidate for PS-29 seat, Mohammad Ismail Rahu said that the People’s Party leadership now only seeking sympathy vote from the people.

Another leader Ali Akbar Khan Nizamani said that he believed in law and democratic values, hence always avoided character assassination of his rivals.

Haji Sain Bux Jamali and Mir Irfan Talpur also spoke on the occasion.

RECOVERY: A man, Farooq Arain, who was kidnapped five days ago from village Iqbal Arain near Tando Ghulam Ali for ransom has been recovered after a police encounter near village Nabi Bux Punjabi.

Police sources said that the hostage was kept near village Nabi Bux Punjabi by dacoits.
