By Our Correspondent

MARDAN, Jan 30: A new religious group calling itself Lashkar Hussain has sent a threatening letter to the administration of a private school here to end co-education or face dire consequences.

“Students in this private school learn more about sex, than acquiring proper education. Therefore, such type of vulgarity in an educational institution should be stopped immediately,” states the letter seen by this correspondent.

The group has given the deadline of April 28 for ending co-education in the school.

It also offered to the school administration that if they faced any financial problem, the Lashkar would provide amount for its publicity in leading papers of the country.

The institution is a chain of schools and has branches in cities all over the country, including Mardan.

The school administration has expressed concern over the letter. However, it could not be known if it has informed police about the development.
