HYDERABAD: Arrest of killers sought

Bureau Report

HYDERABAD, Jan 30: Members of Matiari district’s Kaka community staged a protest demonstration outside the press club here on Wednesday against the murder of Imam Ali Kaka and the delay in the arrest of the people who had allegedly killed him.

Pakistan People’s Party leaders Mehboob Abro and Haji Misri, STP leader Muzaffar Kalhoro and JUI-F leader Bhaledino Kaka said that Ali Kaka was murdered on Dec 28, 2007, outside New Saeedabad.

They said that although an FIR had been registered against the accused, the police had failed to arrest them despite the fact their bail applications had been rejected by the sessions court in Hyderabad.

They said that the Saeedabad police was not only spoiling the case but had also registered a false case against the relatives of the deceased.
