GUJRANWALA, Jan 29: Three station houses officers (SHOs) and 10 policemen, who were booked on the directives of the district and sessions judge on Monday for keeping two women and a girl in illegal custody at different police stations, are still working at their positions and no higher authority has bothered to arrest them or at least suspend them from service, Dawn has learnt.
A relative of complainant Abdul Wahid was wanted to Kamoki city police. The police raided the complainant’s house and picked his wife, Yasmin, sister-in-law Saira and two-year-old Shamsa.
The three lifted females were later shifted to Kamoki Sadar and then to Wahando police station where they were harassed, humiliated and kept in illegal custody.
District and Sessions Judge Arshad Mahmood Cheema ordered registration of a case against the policemen.
