Protest against kidnapping

NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, Jan 29: Hundreds of people took out a procession and observed token hunger strike in Mehrabpur on Tuesday, demanding recovery of some kidnap victims.

The protesters marched on different roads and reached the Benazir chowk where they staged a demonstration. Later, they also observed token hunger strike. Shopkeepers also observed shutterdown strike for some hours.

They said that over the past three months Imtiaz Mughal, Tariq Noonari and Ather Kalhoro were kidnapped from the Mehrabpur area but the police had failed to arrest the kidnappers and recover the victims.

The protesters warned that they would block the National Highway if the kidnapped persons were not recovered within the next 72 hours.—Correspondent
