DADU, Jan 27: PPP candidate for NA-232, Rafique Ahmed Jamali and candidate for PS-74 Pir Mazharul Haq have submitted complaints to the chief election commissioner regarding changes carried out at 256 polling stations in Dadu district.

They complained that officers and polling staff were being posted at the instance of PML candidates. They said that it was a pre-poll rigging. They said that the presiding officers of grade 4 and 5 were posted at the polling stations in the district.

They demanded an inquiry into the matter and appointment of senior and neutral polling staff at the polling station of the district.

POET BOOKED: Another FIR was registered against 100 more PPP workers at the Johi police station on Saturday on charges of attacking PML rally led by former federal Minister Liaquat Ali Jatoi two days ago.

Johi police on the complaint of local PML leader Abdul Sattar Leghari registered an FIR against a famous Sindhi poet, Ahmed Khan Madhosh, his son Khalil Soomro, Naqad Thaheem, Akhtar Rind, Panah Thaheem, Arif Soomro, Rizwan Soomro, Aijaz Jamali, Rashid Rind and 91 unidentified PPP workers.

Police arrested two PPP workers Rahmatullah Jamali, and Khalil Soomro from Johi town.

PPP district president Rafique Ahmed Jamali said that PPP activists were not involved in the attack on PML rally. He said that citizens had raised slogans against Liaquat Ali Jatoi when he was leading the rally.
