By Our Correspondent

TIMERGARA, Jan 26: Speakers at a workshop on Saturday urged the people to cast their votes according to their free will and without any pressure.

The workshop was organised by AWARD, an NGO based in Peshawar and Free and Fair Election Network (FAFEN). A large number of Ulema, elders and local political leaders participated in the workshop.

Qazi Ziauddin, Ghulam Rashid advocate, Haji Abbas Khan, Malik Said Shah Ali Khan, Fazal Rahman Azad and Dr Noor Muhammad were among those who spoke on the occasion. The speakers highlighted the importance of vote in the democratic societies and termed it a sacred exercise. They said that vote was a means to help form a government to smoothly run the state. Therefore, they stressed that the voters should use their right carefully without showing any affiliation to a particular tribe, clan or nationality.
