KARACHI, Jan 26: Four ships carrying containers, furnace oil and LPG were accommodated berths during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Saturday.

Meanwhile, six more ships carrying containers, chemicals, iron ore and general cargo arrived at the outer anchorage.

The berth occupancy was maintained at 70 per cent at the port where eight ships were busy in loading and unloading containers, edible oil, wheat, LPG and furnace oil.

A cargo volume of 60,785 tons comprising 39,329 tons of import and 21,456 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Sailings were active as four ships left the port.
