KARACHI, Jan 26: Nine ships carrying steel coils, crude oil and to load cement and ethanol are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Sunday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was brisk where eight ships were berthed to load cement, and general cargo. They are Sealo-1, to load cement, Calvin P. Titus, Emirates Meru, Oel Trust, Hertford, to unload and load containers, Oriental Rose, Moyra and Hermia, tankers.

Sailing was also active as eight ships, Cape Negro, Hansa Stavanger, Daniela, Swat, Golina, Chemstar Brave, Bengal Orchid, and Pacific Arrow departed, while P. Titus, Hanjin Qingdao, Emirates Meru, Oel Spirit, Oel Trust, Hertford, Tiger Creek and Amiya Scan are due to sail out on Sunday.

A cargo volume of 86,637 tons comprising 38,808 tons of export including 4,912 tons of cement, 3,630 tons of rice and 47,829 tons of import tonnage was handled on Saturday.

The following ships are due on Sunday: Bulk Arrow and Hyun Jin, to load 17,500 and 10,500 tons of cement, Kuleli to load 4,000 tons of ethanol, Itha Bhum, Oel Shreyas, Tenth Ocean, with containers, London Bridge, with steel coils, Lalazar and Johar, with crude oil.
