LAHORE, Jan 25: A US delegation led by Anti-Terrorist Assistance Programme Regional Manager Robert A Clark called on Inspector General of Punjab Police Ahmad Nasim here on Friday.

During the meeting, various issues about imparting modern training to police officials in connection with checking the threats of terrorist activities and suicide attacks came under discussion. It was decided that training courses of different periods would be organised at the police training college, Sihala, and PTS Chuhng shortly.

Appreciating the cooperation being extended by US experts for organising such courses, the IG expressed the hope that the courses would go a long way in enhancing the professional capacity of the officials to cope with the terrorist elements.

Additional IG Training Fayyaz Ahmad Mir, DIG Special Branch Pervaiz Akbar Lodhi and AIG Operations Zulfiqar Hameed were also present.
