LARKANA: Writer Hayee Chandio passes away

LARKANA, Jan 25: Author and educationist Maulvi Abdul Hayee Chandio died in Qambar Ali Khan on Friday. He was 80.

He leaves behind three sons, including writer Jami Chandio, and two daughters.

A large number of people from different walks of life attended the funeral. He was buried in his ancestral graveyard in Drigh Soomar Khan Chandio village.

Mr Chandio was author of several books and articles in Persian, Arabic and Sindhi languages. He was the first principal of the Government Degree College, Qambar.
