MIRPURKHAS: Shopkeeper injured


MIRPURKHAS, Jan 25: Bandits opened fire on a man for putting up resistance in Digri town.

Shopkeeper Mohammad Shahid, 35, was heading home after shutting his shop, when three unidentified armed men intercepted him and asked him to hand over his possessions. But he offered resistance and one of the bandits opened fire.

They took away cash Rs250,000 and fled. The injured man was taken to the taluka hospital in Digri.

LICENCE: Market committee Mirpurkhas secretary Mohammad Bux Chandio has directed agriculture production businessmen to get a licence and warned them of legal action if they failed to comply, a press release issued here on Thursday said.
