KARACHI, Jan 25: Three ships carrying containers and wheat were accommodated berths during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Friday.

Meanwhile, four more ships with wheat and chemicals also arrived at the outer anchorage.

Berth occupancy was maintained at 60 per cent at the wharves where six ships were busy in loading and unloading containers, cement, edible oil and wheat.

A cargo volume of 36,862 tons comprising 24,095 tons of import and 12,767 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Sailing was active as Elegant Victory and Shadwan left the port while Brianna, APL Almandine and Bunga Melaati-7 were due to depart.
