KARACHI, Jan 25: Three ships carrying containers, general cargo and to load ethanol are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Saturday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where eight vessels including Pacific Arrow to load cement, Danicla, Cape Negro, Hansa Stavanger and Hanjin Qingdao to unload and load containers, Paris Texas to unload fertiliser, Bengal Orchid and Chemstar Brave, oil tankers were berthed.

Sailing was also active as 11 vessels including Francoise Gilot, Hyundai Highway, Y.M. Sun, Kapitan Byankin, Filoppa, Armis, Orient Stride, Red Sea Spirit, African Pal, Free Destiny and Baltic Mariner left the port on Friday.

While Golina, Hansa Stavanger, Danicla, Chemstar Brave, Bengal Orchid, Pacific Arrow, Oel Spirit, Cape Negro and Calvin P. Titus are due to sail out on Saturday.

A total tonnage of 94,624 tons comprising 25,830 tons of export cargo including 3,453 tons of rice and 5,975 tons of cement and 68,794 tons of import cargo was handled on Friday.

The following ships are due on Saturday: Kuleli to load ethanol, Sima Sahba with containers and Amina Scan with project cargo.
